What if I’ve read all the information here (including the FAQs below) and I’m still unsure about the course and whether it is right for me.
Please just email Crystal Huscroft (chuscroft at tru.ca) or Kim Naqvi (knaqvi at tru.ca) and we can set up a time to chat or respond to your inquiries.
How do I register? The TRU system will not let me!
Please email Crystal Huscroft (chuscroft at tru . ca) and indicate the following:
” May I please have permission to register for GEOG 3700_02? I have read the course website and am aware of the supplemental course fees and course schedule.”
No citation needed 🙂
Crystal will reply and cc’ ArtsAdvising at tru. ca This will allow you to register.

I am graduating in Winter 2025, can I still participate and graduate?
Yes. We will assign you an interim grade for the course before we leave so that you can apply to graduate.
I have a job that starts on the following Monday and I need to travel, can I leave early?
A key component of this course is that the class works and lives as a group. Students will not be available until 5 pm in Kamloops on Saturday May 3rd. Please communicate this with potential employers or others.
Will I have any work to do once I am back from field school?
Students will have a maximum of 4 hours of work after field course. This is mostly to accommodate students that need to space out their work and avoids the necessity of late night assignment completion during the course for students that need more personal time during the course.
